Dewey-Wood Scholarship
The Dewey-Wood Scholarship is open to students preparing to graduate from Deer Isle-Stonington High School and are pursuing a college degree, traveling abroad, or entering the workforce upon graduation.

The scholarship was created in honor of Mike Wood, an educator for more than 20 years and a strong advocate for Project Launch, who passed away in 2021.

Rob Wood, the twin brother of Mike, shares, “The Dewey-Wood Scholarship supports Mike's belief that all students are capable of success. I hope that the scholarship encourages students to reach larger accomplishments that they doubted were possible.”

The DWS is no longer managed by Project Lauch.  We were honored to incubate and launch the DWS to recognize the role Mike played in our early founding and on the Project Launch Board.  The scholarship is now managed by the DWS board.

Those who would like to donate to the scholarship fund can send a check to Dewey-Wood Scholarship
